Britain's homes in need of a makeover
Painters and decorators could soon find themselves with heaps of new work, as a survey has revealed that half of British homeowners haven't had their home redecorated in over ten years.
The research, conducted by online home furnishings retailer MFI, may seem surprising given the nation's obsession with home decorating and renovation TV shows. Regardless, it is unlikely to upset those in the trade, as it means loads of Britain's homes are long overdue a makeover.
What's more, most of the survey respondents said they haven't redecorated because they can't find the inspiration to update their homes with the latest trends, so it's likely that tradesmen who can provide some creative ideas and advice are most likely to win a contract.
