Commercial property planning approvals on the up
Decorators may find they are working on more new shops, restaurants and bars over the coming months after recent figures show the number of major commercial property planning approvals has increased by 16 per cent in the last year.
The report, which was published by law firm EMW, suggests that a recovery in capital and retail values of these types of constructions could be to thank for the increase in activity in this area.
Giles Ferin, Principal and Head of Planning at EMW, said: "Investors are definitely back in the commercial property market and that could mean the first tentative sign of green shoots for those parts of the construction industry that serve this sector."
