Dulux Trade paint launches improved Ecosure Gloss & Undercoat Pure Brilliant White
Dulux Trade has launched a new and improved version of its Ecosure Gloss and Undercoat Pure Brilliant White, making it easier for professional appliers to achieve an excellent standard of finish and reduce their impact on the environment.
Improved opacity and adhesion are two key updates to the new Ecosure Undercoat, which enable appliers to achieve a higher standard of finish in less time. Similarly, Dulux Trade Ecosure Gloss has also been updated with benefits such as improved opacity and enhanced gloss levels, which enables the trade to consistently deliver a high quality, long lasting finish which stays white.
"Getting a balance between quality and environmental performance is a challenge increasingly faced by appliers. As such, we've placed significant investment in driving forward the standards of water-based systems such as our Ecosure Gloss and Undercoat to make it easier for the trade," said Hazel Shelmerdine, Brand Manager for Dulux Trade Ecosure. "Following extensive research and development, water-based solutions are now the best of both worlds - as well as being quick drying and achieving a high quality finish that stays white, these coatings offer excellent sustainability credentials which are becoming an increasingly important factor for appliers and their clients."
The Dulux Trade Ecosure range is the product of a major research initiative with independent sustainability experts, Forum for the Future. Compared to standard solvent-based formulations*, Dulux Trade Ecosure Gloss and Undercoat have 30 per cent lower embodied carbon when used as a system, and at least 72 per cent lower VOCs.
*Compared with Dulux Trade solvent-based variants as the market is over 82% solvent-based and 93% for gloss specifically. This is measured using our Environmental Impact Analyser.
